Defining an explosive point source in a transversely isotropic medium

An explosive point-source in a transversely isotropic medium is defined here using the boundary conditions at the level of the source satisfied by the displacement-stress vector. These boundary conditions are equivalent to a pressure pulse in an isotropic medium. In a transversely isotropic medium the defined source generates both quasi P- and quasi S-waves.
